EDUCATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM

Thank you for your interest in the nation’s first M.S.Ed. in Education Entrepreneurship at University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. At Penn GSE, students gain deep foundational knowledge in education, cultivate entrepreneurial imagination, and apply core business skills through blended curriculum and real-world projects. Students graduate the program ready to scale, manage, and lead efforts to improve the quality of education in communities and countries around the globe.

The Education Entrepreneurship program admits students for the summer term start only.

  • Priority Deadline: February 1, 2020
  • Rolling Admissions after February 1, 2020

Penn GSE does not apply application fees for students who submit applications by 11:59 PM on March 14th. Beginning March 15th, a fee of $75 will be applied. Apply here.

Admissions Requirements

  • 3 years of professional work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Official academic transcripts  (International students should also submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores and course-by-course evaluations of international transcripts by a member of NACES. We do not require the GRE)
  • A current resume
  • A statement of purpose

Required Prompt: Please tell us why you are interested in pursuing a degree in Education Entrepreneurship.

Optional Prompt: If you have an idea for a venture you'd like to work on during your time in the program, please answer the below prompts:

1) Please briefly describe the education venture that you would like to work on in the program and specify if this is a new idea or existing venture. 

2) Explain how this innovation adds value to the education ecosystem.
